PANJIM: Raia Sporting Club thrashed Cuncolim Union 6-1 to move into the quarter-finals of All-Goa Curtorim Panchayat Cup inter-village football at Curtorim church ground, Curtorim, Thursday.
Raia opened their account through Remedious Pango off a long pass from Kevin Fernandes. They increased their lead with two quick goals in the seventh and 22nd minutes through Socky Cardozo. Later, Mauricio Deus, Socky and Frehauf inflated Raia’s lead.
Cuncolim reduced the margin in the 53rd minute through an adroit placement from Sydroy Coutinho.
