DICARPALE: Raitura SC edged past Verna SC 8-6 via the tie breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the 7th Our Lady of Fatima Cup football tournament organised by Dicarpale SC, at Dicarpale ground, on Friday.
Raitura opened the account through Wilfred Gomes in the 10th minute. Wilfred further went on to complete his brace in the 40th minute while Francis Vaz and Roman Gomes scored a goal each in the 45th and 65th minute for Verna SC.
Raitura SC proved to be better shooters.
Earlier, Mandopa SC outplayed Velsao Sports and Cultural Club 4-0 to move into the quarter-finals.
Joseph Gomes, Prestly Gomes, Mobin Gomes and Travin Souza scored a goal each for Madopa SC.
