Raitura SC win Three Kings Cup

CANSAULIM: Raitura SC defeated Anjuna Gymkhan 4-1 in the final to clinch the CAC Three Kings Cup, organised by CAC Cansaulim and Social Club, played at TB Cunha Sports Complex, Cansaulim, on Monday.

CANSAULIM: Raitura SC defeated Anjuna Gymkhan 4-1 in the final to clinch the CAC Three Kings Cup, organised by CAC Cansaulim and Social Club, played at TB Cunha Sports Complex, Cansaulim, on Monday.
Raitura SC started the match on the front foot and had the first crack at the rival goal in the sixth minute when Don Fernandes on receiving the ball from Floyed Cardoza made a daunting run into the Anjuna territory before unleashing a powerful striker which was saved by the rival keeper.
Don didn’t take long to script his name on the score sheet as he opened Raitura SC’s account in the ninth minute from a direct free-kick.
Raitura SC doubled the lead within four minutes when Melroy Dias set up Oilex Oliveira at goal.
Crossing ends, Floyed Cardozo further inflated the lead in the 46th minute for Riatura.
Minutes later, Anjuna pulled a goal back through Rohan Kamble.
Oilex completed his brace in the 52nd minute to make it 4-1.
Minister for Sports Babu Azgaonkar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to winners and runners-up in the presence of Minister for Panchayats Mauvin Godinho, Cortalim MLA Alina Saldhana and other dignitaries.
The winners were awarded Rs 40,000 and a trophy while thre runners-up pocketed Rs 30,000.
