BAMONSAI-SANGUEM: Rebello Pandal Maina defeated Cocktails and Dreams Palolem 4-3 via the tie-breaker and lifted the Apollo Boys of Bomonsai Sanguem Cup, a 7-a-side football tournament, played at Sanguem Complex recently.
Desmond Fernandes of Cocktail and Dream, Palolem netted the first goal of the match in the 15th minute.
Twenty minutes later Seritorio Montero equalized for Rebello Pandal. The teams were tied 1-1 at the end of the regulation time.
In the tie-breaker Rebello Pandal Maina netted through Roque Borges, Sezwin Fernandes and Joseph Monteiro while for Cocktail and Dreams Palolem Desmond Fernandes and Alistair Fernandes scored.
Joseph Monteiro (Rebello Panda) bagged the best goalkeeper award while Aleward Mascarenhas won the golden boot.
Savitri Kavlekar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners- up in the presence of club members and other dignitaries.
