CALANGUTE: Remedious Boys defeated St Sebastian Orda 2-1, to move ahead in the next round of Saipem SC Calangute constituency inter-ward football tournament played at Gustavo Monteiro ground, Candolim, on Friday.
The goal scorers for Remedious Boys were Cletus and Derrick while Johann narrowed down the margin for Orda.
In the first half St Sebastian Orda dominated the match by their ball possession and could have been two goals up, if not for a missed header by Johann and a power packed shot by Pednekar.
With change of end, Remedious Boys started attacking from the word go, they missed two sitters in the first 10 minutes of the second half, but got the lead through Cletus who had to just tap the ball half a meter inside the goal after a goof up by the orda defence.
Soon afterwards Derrick consolidated the lead through a good shot. St Sebastian Orda scored after a while through Johann, making it 2-1.
