MAPUSA: Remedious Sports Club scored a thumping 4-0 win over Vaddy Boys in the Friends Circle of Candolim inter-ward, played at Candolim ground, on Wednesday.
In a one way traffic, the Remedious colts opened the scoring in the 14th minute of play through Derick D’Mello, who on seeing the keeper off his line, intelligently flicked the ball into the empty Vaddy goal, 1-0.
Six minutes later, Remedious were awarded a penalty kick after Vaddy’s Ashu Kandolkar was guilty of handling the ball inside the 18-yard box. Daphen Rodrigues made no mistake in converting, 2-0.
Changing ends Remedious’s Melwyn on getting hold of the ball slalomed his way past the Vaddy defenders as well as the keeper before slamming the ball home, 3-0.
In the 45th minute of play Malcolm further inflated the lead for Remedious when he gave finishing touches to Klieber’s cross, 4-0.
