PANJIM: Ridhima Naik, Neeza Kamat, Pradnya Caro and Arya Palang moved into the U-12 girls singles semi finals, at the 9th Ramacanta Dharwatkar Memorial Table Tennis tournament organised by Panjim TT Club, at Dr SPM Stadium, Taleigao, on Sunday.
Vivek Carvalho, Saksham Dukle, Darren Duarte and Rishan Shaikh have made the last four grade in U-12 boys.
In the U-17 boys semis, Aaron Colaco will meet Amogh Bawachikar while Nathan Barua will clash with Swayam Chodancar in the other semis.
Meanwhile, Samaira Soares, Anushri Naik, Simran Kubal and Urvi Surlakar have reached the U-21 girls semis while Nikhil Jadhav, Nathan Barua, Gautam Wadkar and Aaron Colaco entered the semi finals of U- 21 boys singles.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Surendra Furtado, ex-Mayor, Corporation of the City of Panaji in the presence of Mahendra Dharwatkar, Tournament promoter, Adarsh P., ex- State TT Champion, and Panjim TT Club officials Selvyn Godinho (Secretary), Sandeep Heble (Vice President) and others.
Certificates were distributed to promising U-12 players during the inaugural.
