SANVORCOTTO-CUNCOLIM: Rising Club Uguem defeated Fr Agnel Sports Club Paroda 3-1 to enter the quarter-finals of Late Afonso Aguiar inter-village football tournament, organised by Cuncolim Union, at Cuncolim ground, on Friday
In the 58th minute, Paroda Clemente beat the Uguem goalkeeper and gave Paroda the goal lead. However, the joy was short lived as Uguem’s Alliston Dsouza equalised the score in the 58th minute.
In the tie-breaker, Handlee Carvalho and Clive Gomes scored for Uguem while Kanchan Kiro only scored for Paroda.
Alister D’Souza of Uguem was awarded the man of the match by Dhiraj Shirwant, Sports Personality.
