PANJIM: RMS Higher Secondary School of Comba-Margao proved their supremacy again as they won the State U-19 Inter-Higher Secondary Cricket Tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, recently.
In the one sided final match played at SAG ground, Chicalim, South Goa winners RMS Higher Secondary school defeated North Goa Champions Walavalkar HSS of Mapusa by 8 wickets.
Electing to bat first, Walavalkar HSS scored 83 for 9 in allotted 20 overs with Umang Gosavi (18) and Vitthal Parsekar (17) being top contributors.
For RMS HSS, Mohammad Nayeem, Omprakash Chauhan and Saiesh Kamat took 2 wickets each while Tanvesh Chetri and Rahul Mehta took one wicket.
In reply, RMS Higher Secondary school achieved the target easily in 13.4 overs with 8 wickets in hand.
Manthan Khutkar and Aditya Suryavnshi scored 41 and 24 runs respectively.
For Walavalkar HSS Balpreet Chadda and Umang Gosavi took 1 wicket each.
