Anant Prabhudesai displayed great maturity in holding highly fancied fifth seed, GM Gagunashvili Merab (ELO 2600) of Georgia to a well deserved draw.
Gagunashvili is a former Georgia National champion and an extremely highly rated player. Meanwhile, WIM Ivana Furtado held fancied IM P Karthikeyan of Tamil Nadu (ELO 2440) to a draw.
