PANJIM: Rosarians XI Sports Club and Shree Nagesh Mahadura Sports Club, Curca played a goalless draw in the Goa Football Association’s Third Division League match (Ilhas Zone) played at Agassaim ground, on Friday.
Both the teams started the match on equal footings and tried their best to get past the rival defence. Rosarians marshalled by Adelbert Cardoso made swift movements with Mayur Khandeparkar on the flanks and Aaron Cardoso in the forward position.
The Rosarians came close to scoring a couple of times; however missed sitters thus failing to take the lead in the game.
At the other end, Shree Nagesh led by Sudesh Kunkalekar came up with a plethora of moves Rohit Shirodkar and Mayur Vernekar testing the rival defence time and again however failed to get the ball past the keeper.
It was in the 82nd minute that Sharan Adkonkar of Shree Nagesh received an yellow card for a reckless sliding tackle on the rival midfielder.
However with either of the teams cancelling out on the attacking moves the match was restricted to midfield play which resulted in goalless sessions.
