MARGAO: Striker Rosario Carvalho and winger Daulat Dessai helped Cuncolim Union to demolish CRC, Chinchinim 6-0 in the Salcete Zone GFA’s 3rd Division League, at Mandopa ground, Navelim, Tuesday.
Cuncolim Union led 4-0 at the break. The highlight of the day was four-goal blitz by veteran striker Rosario.
Cuncolim Union dominated both the sessions and kept their opponents on the back foot throughout the sessions. Cuncolim Union open the flood gates in the 6th minute when winger Daulat punted the ball to the far corner of the net.
With the early success, Cuncolim Union upped the ante and doubled the lead in the 10th minute when Rosario flocked the ball into the net.
In the 20th minute, Cuncolim Union put the issue beyond doubt when Daulat beat the rival goalkeeper with clinical finish to register his brace.
Rosario, who was the fulcrum in rival attacks, competed his brace in the 35th minute when he punished the rival goalkeeper with adroit placement.
The second half did not bring any relief to CRC, as their opponents attacked both the flanks. Rosario converted the spot kick in the 69th minute to register his hat-trick.
Later, Rosario rounded off the tally in the 71st minute to complete the rout.
