Rosary College claim Varsity Cycling Gold

DABOLIM: Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim won the Goa University inter-collegiate cycling team championship organised by Rosary College Commerce and Arts, Navelim on Saturday.

DABOLIM: Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim won the Goa University inter-collegiate cycling team championship organised by Rosary College Commerce and Arts, Navelim on Saturday.
A total of six teams battled for the team championship.
Fredsson Marshall of Fr. Agnel College, Pilar completed the 20km stretch from Navelim to Cuncolim and back and was far ahead of the other competitors, clocking a time of 31.42 minutes.
Raju Chalwadi of Rosary College clocking 36.53 minutes came second followed by Amrit Topno of Smt Parvatibai Chowgule College, Margao clocking 37.03 for third place. Clencio Pinto of Rosary College and Sunil Kolpathe of Govt. College Quepem came in 4th and 5th position.
Rosary College won the team championship with 4 riders featuring in the top 7 and scoring 19 points.
Rev Fr Dr Simao Diniz, Principal of Rosary College, Navelim congratulated the winners and encouraged the budding cyclist to train hard and feature in the nationals. 
Chief Guest Milton Fernandes Asst PE Director, Goa University congratulated the winners and praised the Rosary College for organising the Cycling Championship on behalf of the University.
