FATORDA: Rossman Cruz, Nagoa-Verna defeated Churchill Brothers SC 5-2 in the GFA U-14 League match played at the artificial turf, Fatorda, on Monday.
Ajay Dhole’s four goals for Rossman Cruz was the highlight of the match.
Vasant Manji scored the first goal for Rossman Cruz with his power-drive shot in the 17th minute. Within two minutes, Ajay doubled the lead and in the 23rd minute completed his brace 3-0.
Alvito Dias’ powerful grounder made it 1-3 for Churchill Brothers in the 29th minute. Ajay’s curler earned a hat-trick for him in the 39th minute.
Mark Pontes pointed shot hit the nets of Rossman Cruz in the 67th minute to score 2-4 for Churchill Brothers. Later, Ajay’s shot in style to take the final tally to 5-2 in the 70th minute for Rossman Cruz.
