RAIA: In a tightly contested match, Rossman Cruz pipped Guardian Angel SC 1-0 to enter to the semi-finals of the inter-village football tournament, organised by St Sabastian UC Benaulim, at Dando ground, Benaulim, on Wednesday.
Guardian Angel faced early misfortune as they conceded an own goal by Keneth Perdra in the second minute. Despite their efforts to level the score in the first half, they couldn’t find the back of the net.
The second half witnessed Rossman Cruz relentlessly attack to double the lead. During the final ten minutes, Guardian Angels displayed determined attacking play, but Rossman’s resilient defenders thwarted their attempts.
Rossman Cruz’s defensive prowess, especially in the crucial closing moments, played a pivotal role in preserving their slim lead and sealing their semi-final berth.
