MAJORDA: Rossman Cruz Sports Club, Verna-Nuvem defeated United Club, Seraulim 4-3 via tie-breaker and entered the semi-finals of the Fr Basilio Andrade Memorial inter-village football tournament, being played at Musson ground, Majorda, on Thursday.
Noel Silva gave Rossman Cruz the much deserved lead in the 13th minute. Rossman led 1-0 at the break.
Crossing ends, United Club Seraulim put lot of pressure and succeeded to get the equaliser through Adruel Souza.
Both the teams played attacking football with regular raids at the rival goal but there was no additional to the score. Both teams strikers fumbled infront of the rival goal when it mattered most.
So the tie-breaker system was adopted to decide the winner. In the ensuring shootout Rossman Cruz Sports Club team scored through Savio Fernandes, Hilton Fernandes and Cristo Mello and for United Club Seraulim, Selio Fernandes and Adriel Souza were the scorers.
