BENAULIM: Rossman Cruz Nagao- Verna registered a hard fought 1-0 victory over Candolim Sports Club to enter the semi-finals of the 33rd Strikers Trophy Football Tournament organised by Young Strikers Benaulim, at St John Baptist ground Dando-Benaulim, on Tuesday.
Rossman surged ahead in the 18th minute when midfielder Wilson Bab found winger Benestol Barreto on the left and the speedy winger got past Candolim right back Aniket Naik and sent in a low cross to striker Razor Braganza to flick past rival goalkeeper Krupesh Bandodkar.
