RAIA: Rossman Cruz Sports Club, Nagoa edged past Mandopa SC 3-2 to move into the semi-finals of the 28th Arlem Trophy football tournament, organized by Arlem Sports Club, at Raia Panchayat ground, on Thursday.
Mandopa SC had the upper hand in the first half and pumped in two quick goals coming from the boots of Aulon Gomes in the 10th minute and within two minutes, Clinton Niasso doubled the lead for Mandopa SC.
Rossman Cruz SC had a chance to score in the 23rd minute through Razor Braganza’s long drive shot but the rival goalkeeper saved it.
Changing over, Rossman Cruz came from behind to score through Razor
Braganza in the 48th minute and the latter restored parity in the 50th minute.
At the other end, Clinton’s long ranger flew inches above the cross piece of Rossman Cruz.
Then, Razor fed Stephen Abranches, who scored the match-winner with a deft placement in the 56th minute.
