RAIA: Rossman Cruz Sports Club, Nagoa-Verna beat St Anthony, Assolda by 2-1 in the all-Goa inter-village football tournament organised by United Club of Utorda, at SAG ground, Utorda, on Tuesday.
Romario D’Costa of Rossman SC missed a golden opportunity at the 10th minute. Later, Reagan Fernandes of St Anthony, Assolda, dribbled passed three players and the opportunity was not capitalised. Hilton Fernandes of Rossman, Verna drew the first blood. The score was 1-0 at the lemon time.
Crossing over St Anthony, Assolda levelled through the boots of Cajetan with a fine placement, surprising the goalkeeper. Frazer D’Costa sealed the fate for St Anthony, Assolda.
