PANJIM: S Caculo College, Mapusa defeated MES College, Zuarinagar by eight wickets to win the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Championship for men, at University ground, Taleigao Plateau, on Friday.
S Caculo College won the title for the fourth consecutive year
Electing to bat first, the Zuarinagar College found the going tough against a disciplined Caculo College blowing. MES College could manage to score just 91 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
Kashyap Bakhle (37), Dheeraj Yadav (17 n.o.) and Yogesh Naik (10) were the three batsmen who reached double figures for MES.
Nikhil Gadekar 3/13 was the pick of Mapusa College while Arjun Shetgaonkar 2/26, Deepraj Gaonkar 1/19 and Guruprasad Asolkar 1/20 were the other successful bowlers.
S Caculo reached the target in 13.1 overs losing just two wickets. Ishaan Gadekar (38 n.o.) was the top run-getter for the winners.
Shenal Kauthankar (23) and Deepraj Gaonkar (13 n.o) were the other contributors for S Caculo College.
