CURCHOREM: S S Angle HSS won the double crown in the zone lV Inter Higher Secondary School Baseball tournament organised by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, at SAG Complex, Curchorem, recently.
In boys’ category, Angle defeated Shiroda HSS by 14 – 2 homes. After winning the toss, Shiroda decided to field first.
Angle scored 6 homes with the contribution from Prajot, Sairaj, Pratik, Madhev, Nehal & Pranay. Madhev scored a home run and in reply Shiroda could not score any homes.
In the second innings, Angle scored 8 homes with a homer contribution from Pratik Sairaj & Mallikarjun while Prajot, Madhev, Nehal, Poornay & Pranay also scored.
In second inning, Shiroda HSS managed to score only 2 homes. S S Angle won the match by 14-2 homes.
In girls’ category, S S Angle won the final match against Damodar HSS, Gudi by 8-7 homes.
After winning the toss, Angle decided to field first. Damodar HSS scored 3 homes off Cliffa, Babhita & Nazneen. In reply, S S Angle scored 3 homes through Vikita, Manisha & Daivita. After first innings, the score was equal 3-3.
In the second innings, Damodar HSS scored 2 homes off Cliffa & Siya. In reply, S S Angle scored 5 homes off Edrishia, Siya, Esha, Daivita, & Arya.
In the third innings, Damodar managed to score again only 2 homes off Pooja and Loousa. Angle won the match by 8-7 homes.
