Sacred Heart, St Britto move ahead

MAPUSA: St Britto High School, Mapusa and hosts Sacred Heart of Jesus High School (SHJHS), Anjuna won their respective matches to move ahead in under-15 inter-school football tournament, at SHJHS ground, Anjuna, on Wednesday.

In the first encounter, St Britto registered a comfortable 4-0 victory over St Xavier High School, Moira.

Ryan Pereira scored the opening goal, followed by a brace from Osbern Fernandes while Charles made it 4-0.

SHJHS had to fight hard to get the better of Holy Cross High School, Bastora 1-0. Alric D’Souza scored the match-winner.
