CALANGUTE: Sai Avtar, Anjuna trounced Nerul Sports Club 4-1 to move into quarter-final of Xetrapal Cup Soccer, organized by Xetrapal Sports Club, at Xetrapal ground, Oxel-Siolim, on Monday.
Rohan Kamble put Anjuna ahead in the 10th minute but Nerul fought back and drew level in the 15th minute through Sidharth Shirodker.
Changing over, Sameer Govekar regained the lead for Anjuna scoring in the 40th minute of play. Rohan Kamble scored two quick goals to take the game away from Nerul and give his team a comfortable 4-1 win.
In the earlier matches, Goa Velha SC defeated FC Assonora 4-0 while Football Club of Siolim beat PVC Association, Parra by a solitary goal.
