PANJIM: Sai Sports Club defeated Cricket Club of Altinho by 61 runs to register fluent win in the B division league cricket tournament of Goa Cricket Association, at Binani ground, Colvale on Saturday. Batting first, Sai SC scored 199 for 5 in allotted 36 overs.
In reply, CC Altinho’s inning was dismissed by Sai bowlers in 138 runs. Vitthalraj Sangodkar top scored with 67 runs.
Meanwhile in the South Goa A division league cricket tournament, at Sanguem Academy ground, Suraj Dongre & Tushar Narvekar hit unbeaten half centuries as Lapaz gardens SC easily outwitted Alrem Sports Club by 10 wickets.
A deadly spin bowling by Ex Ranji cricketer Sherbahadur Yadav (6-16) demolished Arlem SC inning in just 128 runs.
Lapaz Gardens opener Suraj and Tushar achieved the target in style in just 18 overs without losing a wicket.
