MERCES: SAI Veterans blanked St Anna Veterans 2-0 to move into the next round of the Pogo boys 50- plus Veterans Cup organised by Pogo Boys Merces, at Our Lady of Merces church ground, Merces, on Saturday.
SAI veterans netted the first goal of the match through Stanley Colaco’s glancing header in the 22th minute.
Ponte added his name to the scoresheet and made it 2-0 for SAI in the 47th minute.
In another match, Chinchinim beat Quepem 3-0. Marcelino, Inacio and Claudias scored for the Chinchinim.
