SANGOLDA: Hosts Sports Authority of India (SAI) Veterans scored a comfortable 4-0 win against St Anna Veterans (Goa Velha) in the 2nd All Goa SAI Veterans football tournament organised by SAI Veterans Football Association, at Sangolda ground, on Sunday.
At half time, the score was 2-0 in favour of SAI.
Rafik Bepari scored the opening goal for SAI with a beautiful layoff by Avinash Naik in the 10th minute.
Just five minutes before half-time, Rosario Carvalho made it 2-0 off Alex Alvares’ assist.
In the second half, SAI skipper Frankie Mascarenhas made it 3-0 when he scored off Rosario Carvalho’s through pass.
In the dying minutes the concluding goal was scored by Paulo Almeida off a pass made by Paixao Gomes to make it 4-0
Viva North Veterans, Bardez will now meet St Anna Veterans (Goa Velha) on June 5.
