SANGUEM: Saibaba SC of Amona & Lapaz Gardens CC booked their places in the semi-finals of the 18th Sanguem T-20 leather-ball cricket tournament organized by Sanguem Cricketers ,at Sanguem Sports Complex ground, on Friday.
Both Saibaba SC and Lapaz Gardens recorded their second consecutive win in the tournament.
In the first match, Saibaba SC of Amona defeated Goa Police by 18 runs. Batting first, Saibaba Amona scored 160 for 9 in 20 overs.
In reply, Goa Police managed to score 142 for 9 in allotted 20 overs.
In the second one sided match, Lapaz Gardens CC easily outwitted Goa Lawyers teams by 92 runs. Man of the match Amogh Desai and Suraj Dongre cracked centuries as Lapaz Gardens CC piled up 261 for 1 in allotted 20 overs. Later, Goa Lawyers managed to score 169 for 8 in 20 overs.

Shailesh Redkar 1-46) beat Goa Lawyers, 169 for 8 in 20 overs (Swapnil Kambli 26, Pravin Gawas & Viraj Tar 24 runs each. Basavraj Madar 3-19, Sarfaraz Nawaz 1-11, Chirag Khurana 1-44).
