PANJIM: Saiesh Audi was awarded the first place in under-12 while Ameya Audi, Junior State Champion, won the fourth place in the late Narayanrao R Joshi Memorial All India Open Blitz Chess tournament, held at Sangli, Maharashtra, recently.
Ameya had seven wins and one draw to tally 7.5 points out of 10 rounds whereas Saiesh had five wins out of 10 rounds.
Around 240 players from various States participated in the event. Ameya and Saiesh are students of Vidya Vikas Academy, Margoa.
