RAIA/NAVELIM: Salcete Football Club and Snow’s Football Academy match ended in a goalless draw, in the U-16 GFA League at Raia ground, on Tuesday.
Both the teams put up a better display and showed more urgency in their approach but could not succeed in their efforts and the teams were involved in a goal less draw during the first half.
Snow FC’s Liston Cardozo’ long ranger in the 6th minute hit the Salcete FC post and rebounded into play off which Pravin Rathod shot wide.
Melisho Camatio of Salcete FC floated the ball to Flanton Dias inside the Snows FC box but defender Steve Gomes tackled his move.
Sheldon Fernandes of Snows FC failed to connect the ball provided by Alton Rebello inside the rival box in the 20th minute.
Salcete FC’s Josly Moura and Leander Fernandes combined moves were cleared by Andrew D’Souza of Raia in the 45th minute.
At full-time the scoreboard read 0-0.
In another match at Rosary ground Navelim, CRSC Navelim blanked United SC Seraulim 5-0,
Alindo opened the account for Navelim in the 3rd minute while Belton Fernandes and Rohan Rodrigues scored a brace each in the 23rd, 46th, 66th and 68th minutes respectively for CRSC Navelim.
