PANJIM: Betalbatim Sports Club defeated Salcete Football Club 2-0 in the Goa Football Association U-16 Second Division League South Zone played at AstroTurf Ground, Fatorda, on Saturday.
Despite defeat, Salcete FC emerged the winners.
Selwyn Soares scored a goal each in the either half of the play for the winner. He first scored in the 29th minute and then doubled the account at the hour mark.
Salcete FC received the champions prize of Rs 20,000, while runners-up Betalbatim Sports Club had to settle for Rs 10,000.
GFA Vice President South Anthony Pango presented the awards.
