PANJIM: Salcete Football Club successfully conducted four weeks long football fitness camp in association with SquareOut Sports Solution at Artificial Turf ground, recently.
Forty boys and girls in various age groups took part in this camp. Former Dempo SC coach Mauricio Afonso, Former India international Climax Lawrence and Covan Lawrence conducted the sessions in a very professional manner.
Before the close the trainees played a friendly match against the FC Goa development team. The match ended in a goalless draw. Chairman of GFDC and Arjuna Awardee Brahmanand Shankwalker was the chief guest. Brahmanand alongwith football icons, Savio Medeira, Derrick Pereira, Mauricio Afonso, Samir Naik, Peter Valles, Climax and Covan Lawrence presented certificates to the participants. Rahul Rodrigues founder of SquareOut Sports was also present for the function.
