PERNEM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant during his visit to the Mandrem Constituency on Tuesday inaugurated several projects and also laid the foundation stone for the underground electricity cable project at Keri-Tiracol.
Sawant in the presence of Mandrem MLA Dayanand Sopte first inaugurated the cycle track from Chopdem circle to Morjim followed by laying of foundation stone for an underground electricity cabling project at Keri-Tiracol which is worth Rs 3 crore.
He also inaugurated the footpath and illumination from Arambol Tinto to Paliem. The inauguration of the newly beautified Shri Sadguru Janardhan Maharaj Math, along with beautification and illumination of Sapteshwar Bhagwati Temple, Mandrem were also held.
A Multi-Purpose Hall at Tuem taken up under Deendayal was also inaugurated. The Chief Minister concluded his visit at Parsem with the inauguration and handover of the beautified Bhagwati Temple.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said, “The aluminium armoured underground cable at Keri will allow to provide electricity to Tiracol, part of Keri village.”
“All these years, the State use to get water and electricity supplied from Maharashtra for the people residing in Tiracol. However, after completion of the underground cabling project, the State will be in position to provide electricity to the Tiracol residents.”
“The government is working to ensure that each and every citizen and villager has access to not only basic amenities but other beneficial facilities too. The State is also working on growing fruits, vegetables and flowers in the State itself for which we are presently dependent on our neighbouring States,” the Chief Minister added.
The Chief Minister also said that the Greenfield International Mopa Airport will be inaugurated in August 2022.
