PANJIM: Salcete Football Club humbled Betalbatim Sporting Club 6-2, in the Goa Football Association’s U-16 League match played at Betalbatim ground, on Thursday.
Salcete FC found the breakthrough in the 19th minute with Velancio D’Costa calmly slotting the ball past the rival keeper.
Taken aback by the goal Betalbatim SC went all out and found the equaliser in the 20th minute through Suel Khan and soon doubled the lead in the 25th minute as Welson Fernandes placed the ball into the nets for Betalbatim Sporting Club.
Struck by reverse, Salcete FC made amends for their mistakes and scored the equaliser through Velancio in the 31st minute and soon shot into the lead through Sandroy Costa.
At half-time the scores were 2-3 in favour of Salcete FC.
Post resumption, Rohan Rodrigues scored for Salcete Football Club in the 60th minute before Velancio D’Costa scored twice before the final whistle to take the tally to 6-0.
