VERNA: The Salesians of Don Bosco won the sixth edition of the St. Joseph Vaz Cup football tournament for priests and seminarians held at the Fr Agnel’s Complex ground, Verna.
The Salesian’s went past the Capuchian’s team by two goals one in each half. Fr. Christavio and Fr. Benson scored a goal in each half and made the team proud winners of the much sought after event by the religious.
Fr. Franky for the Capuchian team was very strong in the goal and saved some very good goals throughout in the league matches as well.
Fr. Agnelo Gomes the Director, Fr. Agnel Gomes Ashram Complex was the Chief Guest and Fr. Michael Mascarenhas Sdb was the guest of honour for the final ceremony.
