Salgaocar SC defeated Malabar United SC 2-1 in a Group C match of ONGC 2nd Division match here on Monday. Salgaocar SC led 2-0 at half time with goals coming from Alvito Rodrigues and Anil in 24th and 26th minutes respectively.
Malabar reduced the margin in the 77th minute of the second half through Jackson.
Salgaocar SC move up the table with 7 points from three matches (two wins and a draw) followed by Viva Sports who are at the second spot with five points.
Meanwhile, the final round of the ONGC 2nd Division League will be played from April 1- April 19 at Gurgaon, Haryana. The final fixture will be announced shortly, according to AIFF.
