CANSAULIM: Salgaocar FC blanked Panchwadi SC 6-0 in the GFA U-18 League match played at Cansaulim ground, on Thursday.
Panchwadi turned up with just nine men against a strong Salgaocar FC line up.
Claide Fernandes netted a hat-trick for Salgaocar FC.
With a good show of passes Salgaocar FC opened the scoring in the 26th minute through Chaitan Komarpant who ran down with the ball the entire flank, cut through the defence and struck a fierce shot which the Panchwadi custodian had no chance in keeping it out. Four minutes (30th minute) later, Claide Fernandes added another to the score sheet and scored his brace in the 33rd minute.
Panchwadi had no reply after the quick goals, half time score 3-0.
The second half saw Salgaocar FC scoring in the very first minute of play as Claide completed his hat-trick by rounding two defenders and the keeper and slotted the ball into the empty net.
Levy Pereira added his name to the score sheet by blasting in two goals in the 55th and 56th minute with Henning Pereira and Chaitan Komarpant with the assists.
