RAIA: Salgaocar FC emerged champions in the U-13 category of Goa Winter Cup organised by YFA, at Chowgule sports complex, recently.
South Goa United were the runners-up. St Joseph, Shiroda, secured the third place, Vision Football Delhi fourth place and Forza Pune fifth place.
In the U-11 category, Vision Football Delhi were winners, South Goa United runners-up, Forza Pune third place, FC GOA Football Schools fourth place and St Joseph Shiroda fifth place.
U-9 category, YFA were the winners, Vision Football Delhi – runners-up, South Goa United third place, FC GOA Football Schools fourth place and St Joseph Shiroda fifth place.
Special guests Savio Medeira (former head of coach education, All India Football Federation), Mariano Dias (Technical Director GFA) and Socorro Vaz (founder YFA) gave away the winners trophies and individual trophies to all the outstanding performers.
The tournament saw participation of teams from Delhi, Pune and Goa with over 120 players showcasing their skills to the 200 odd spectators.
