RAIA: Salgaocar FC launched their 9th edition of the Community Outreach Programme at the Chicalim Panchayat ground, recently.
The programme was open for children aged between 6 and 11 years, saw a flurry of registration as it opened again for a new season.
Salgaocar FC Vice-President Swati Salgaocar welcomed the large gathering. In her welcome speech, she stated that the grassroots football have always been a top priority for our club.
President of the club Shivanand Salgaocar said that it’s good to see large number of parents with their children.
He further stated that the support of the community, schools and Chicalim Panchayat has always made it possible for them to fulfill their vision and objectives of building community through football.
The programme will be conducted on every Sunday from 3 pm, till March 2024, where young champs will be divided into small groups on multiple pitches to participate in the training sessions.
The opening function was compered by Umer Mutawalli, chief coordinator of the programme.
The Goa Football Association Executive Members Francisco Nunes and Sanjeev Nagvenkar, Secretary Boaventura Leitao and Narayan Naik, were present.
