Salgaocar Sports Club scored their third successive victory in Goa Premier League cricket tournament recording an innings and 147-run victory over Sarvodaya Sports Club, at Porvorim ground, on Saturday.
Sarvodaya, who were forced to follow on, folded their second innings at 111 for 9. For Salgaocar, Dhanraj Singh claimed 3 for 44, Vishal Singh 2 for 18, V Kamat 1 for 12, Sher Bahadur 1 for 22 and Badal Singh 1 for 15.
Brief score: Salgaocar 1st innings 375 all out. Sarvodaya 1st innings 117, 2nd innings: 111 for 9.
At Panjim Gymkhana, the match between Dempo Cricket Club and Goa Sports Academy petered to a mundane draw. Dempo, who scored 253 all out in the first innings, saw GSA putting up some resistance to muster 171 in 69.3 overs. Gajanand Azgaocar 37, Sashi Kadam 36, Bandesh Pawaskar 17 not out and Tushar Narvekar 24, contributed for GSA. For Dempo, Harprit Wasawada and Arun Wadjee took 5 for 54 and 5 for 46 respectively.
Dempo in their second innings were 96 for 3 in 26 overs. For Dempo, Ilyas Nadoo topscored with 45 not out, Harpit Wasawada 16 not out. GSA’s Sayil Dhuri claimed 2 for 28 while Aditya took 1 for 10. 
With this draw, GSA have 3 points while Dempo have 1 point.
