Salgaocar sign Darryl

PANJIM: Salgaocar FC completed the signing of striker Darryl Duffy after his successful trial with the club.
The 29-year-old becomes the third foreigner to join the Green Brigade for 2013-14 season.
Duffy started his career for the Rangers and has featured for major sides such as Hull City and the Welsh Swansea City. He joins Salgaocar FC from Cheltenham Town and top scored for the team during the 2011-12 season.
Duffy has been training with the SFC team for a week and has only good things to say. “The coach is doing a lot of things, inculcating good sleeping patterns and eating habits. The training system is mostly the same. The players are a friendly bunch, they’re really nice and I’m looking forward to playing with them,” he stated.
Salgaocar FC’s general secretary, RAJ Gomes said that the Scot was an experienced striker who has played with top clubs and he hoped that he would use this platform to show everyone what he could do. “We’re looking forward to some good football,” he said.
