Saligao pip Nagoa

Saligao Sporting Club pipped Nagoa Sporting Club 2-1 to move into the finals of Nagoa-Arpora-Baga Panchayat Cup 2009 Inter-Village Football tournament organised by Nagoa Sporting Club at Arpora grounds on Tuesday. All goals were scored in the first half.
Saligao Sporting attacked from the word go and were up by a goal scored by Joseph Monteiro in the very 2nd minute. Dominating the match, Saligao again scored through Joseph Monteiro who converted a penalty to make it 2-0.
Nagoa, however, fought back and restored parity in the 20th minute through Stanley who converted a penalty awarded to Nagoa.
Changing over, Nagoa tried to bounce back into the game but the Saligao defense gave no room for the Nagoa forwards. Saligao forwards too messd up chances and failed to add to their tally.
