Saligao were lucky as a rival player handled the ball in the danger zone in the 21st minute and the referee pointed out to the spot kick.
Saligao’s Bibiano Fernandes converted off the resultant spot-kick.
Trailing by a goal, Sangolda fought back and drew level in the 38th minute through Amar Harlankar.
With scores level, the winners were decided on penalties. Sangolda got the better of Saligao 4-3 with goals from Yogesh Mayekar, Amar Harlankar, Nikhil Naik and Alex Alvares.
