Sangolda move into semis

Sangolda Lightning trounced Clube Sao Miguel Taleigao 3-0 to enter the semi-finals of Nagoa Arpora Panchayat Cup inter-village soccer organised by Arpora Sporting Club at Salt Lake ground, Arpora on Friday.
Dominating the initial proceedings, Sangolda shot into lead in the 7th minute through a free kick by Lloyd Mascarenhas from top of the box. Sangolda doubled the lead through Nilesh Palyekar in the 25th minute. Nilesh capitalized on a deflection off Taleigao defender Martin after Joseph had taken a shot at the goal.
Changing over, Taleigao dominated the proceedings and were all over the Sangolda territory in search of goals. However, the ever agile Sangolda goalkeeper Devraj Tari affected brilliant saves to deny goals to Samson, Victor Lobo and Haldankar. Shadab Shaikh scored another goal for Sangolda in the dying minutes.
