PANJIM: In a splendid performance, Sanjana Maulankar scored five goals as Moira Strikers thumped Moira Youngsters 7-1 in the GFDC-Vodafone Rising Star Football festival at Moira ground, recently.
Moira Strikers played an excellent game throughout the match and hardly gave their opponents any chances.
Sanjana Maulankar and Flavina D’Souza scored one goal each in the first half. Moira Youngsters were quick and their teammate Chrisane Noronha scored a goal.
By the end of the first half, Moira strikers were leading by 2-1.
In the second half, Moira Strikers continued their dominance as they scored five goals in the second half.
Sanjana Maulankar scored four goals in the second half. Mainha Behera also scored for the Moira Strikers taking their tally to seven goals.
Sanjana was the player of the match.
In the U-13 Boys match, Cool Boys drew 1-1 with Master Footballers. Cool Boys scored through Mustakeem Shaikh while Master Footballers equalized by Siddesh Jadhav.
Player of the match was Mustakeem.
In another match, Valpoi Line grounded Hotstar 6-0. Sairaj Gaonkar (3), Dattaraj Gaonkar, Sanjeet Gaonkar and Zain Mohamed scored a goal each. Player of the match award went to Sairaj Gaonkar.
At Navelim ground, Navelim Stars beat Navelim Super 8 3-1 with goals from Jayden Cardozo, Jacob and Elijah Torcato while Altab Shaik reduced the margin for Navelim Super 8.
Altab was adjudged player of the match.
Navelim Super Killers grounded Navelim Sky Liners 4-1 as Clarison Fernandes netted a brace. Ameen Attar and Adarsh Raja scored a goal each.
Navelim Sky Liners reduced the margin through Raja Praputi. The player of the match award went to Clarison Fernandes of Navelim Super Killers.
In the U-10 Boys match, Navelim United trounced Navelim Sparklings 3-0 with goals from Rylan Lawrence, Dezwin Dias and Noah Mascarenhas. Player of the match went to Rylan Lawrence of Navelim United.
Navelim Challengers edged past Navelim Strikers 3-2. Goal scorers for the Navelim Challengers were Eliezer Goes (2) and Audric Rodrigues.
Goal scorers for Navelim Strikers were Arsene Rodrigues and Cosam de Crasto. Player of the match award went to Arsene Rodrigues.
At Collem, FC Collem and Blaster Collem played out a goalless draw in the U-13 Boys event.
Player of the match was Sanchit Toppo of Blaster Collem.
The next match also resulted into a 1-1 draw between United Collem and Collem Dynamos.
Goal scorer for United Collem was Anish Gadar while Ancilo Costa netted for Collem Dynamos.

At Siolim ground, in the U-13 Girl’s event, Siolim Snipers edge past Siolim Ice Breakers 1-0 with a goal by Jolin D’Cruz. Player of the match was Swizel Dias of Siolim Ice Breakers.
In the U-13 Boys match, Siolim Eagles beat Siolim Hunters 3-0 as Philip D’Souza scored a hat-trick to receive the player of the match award.
At the Utorda ground, Active Boys defeated Challengers 1-0 with Gayleon Antao scoring the all-important goal.
Young Strikers thumped Tuff Boys 5-0 with a brace by Sherwyn Rodrigues and a goal each by Dylan Shirodkar, Stevin Fernandes and Clerence Fernandes.
