Sucaldem Youth Club were the superior side in the first half and had not squandered some gilt edged chances they should have taken the lead in the first half itself. Zoribhatt Boys took time to settle down but never threatened the rival goal.
Post resumption, Sucaldem Youth Club showed urgency and troubled the rival defence with well orchestrated raids. The lone goal of the match came midway in the second half when Sanjay Menezes bulge the net.
Stung by the reversal, Zoribhatt Boys tried their best to neutralised the lead but failed to get past the rival rearguard.
Our Lady of Fatima Sports Club bagged the third placed. The following individual prizes were awarded: First scorer of the final Sanjay Menezes, Best goalkeeper of the final Domnic (Zoribatt Boys), Best defender of the final Alson Cabral (Sucaldem), Best half of the final Adriel D’Costa (Zoribatt Boys), Best forward of the final Roger Pereira (Sucaldem).
Cruz Silva, ex-sarpanch of Village Panchayat Ambelim was the chief guest while guest of honour Fr Trinidade Monterio.
MLA Velim Constituency Benjamin Silva and special invitee Cande Rebello gave away the prizes.
