RAIA: Hosts Santa Cruz Society of Poitomado defeated Sporting Club of Davorlim 2-1 to enter into semi-finals of Coutinho Family inter-village football tournament played at Cuncolim school ground, on Wednesday.
Santa Cruz Society opened the scoring in the 15th minute of the match through Viraj Velip of a pass received from Vinod Velip. Prince Figuredo equalised for SC Davorlim on free-kick that dashed into the net in the 22nd minute.
In the second session, Viraj Velip again gave lead to Santa Cruz Society on a header of a cross by Daulat Dessai. Viraj Velip was adjudged as man-of-the-match.
