PANJIM: When life knocks you down you get up and fight back. Renowned boxing coach Santosh Birmole punched his way to finally make it for the boxing coaching camp in Bhopal which had already commenced on June 14.
Having won many national laurels, including gold at Federation Cup, it can be recalled that Santosh was allegedly denied leave to participate in the ongoing camp.
The Indian Reserve Battalion constable was finally granted permission for leave and has reported for the boxing coaching camp on Friday.
Santosh has been coaching India’s youth men’s team and is considered an integral part of the National camp.
