VALPOI: Santosh Kashinath Gawas has been selected as a referee for India’s famous Vivo Pro Kabaddi League seventh season.
Hailing from Massordem village, Sattari, Santosh has been playing kabaddi for the past 18 years as an all-rounder and a defender. Gawas has played at the taluka, State and All-India open tournament levels.
The Civil Service department of Goa has been taking kabaddi players from Goa to play at the National level and for the past seven years Santosh has been playing the sport at the National level.
Since 2016, the lad from Valpoi started officiating kabaddi matches at the taluka and state levels.
