SAO JOSE DE AREAL: Sao Jose de Areal blanked Cuncolim Union 4-0 to move into the semi-finals of the 37th Sao Jose de Areal Panchayat Cup organised by Sao Jose de Areal SC, at Padribhat Sao Jose de Areal ground, on Friday.
Areal went out all guns blazing at Cuncolim Union as they opened the score-line through Haston Dias with an arrow bound shot off Francisco Barretto’s assist in the 7th minute.
Eighteen minutes later, Francisco Barretto doubled the lead for Areal with a curling free-kick.
As the match progressed in the 42nd minute, Jeston Fernandes made it 3-0.
As the match was about to end, Monty Valadres made it 4-0 with a placement shot for Areal.
Sao Jose de Areal will now meet SC Davorlim in the semi-finals on October 7.
