NAGMODEM-NAVELIM: Sao Jose de Areal got the better of Navelim Villagers 7-5 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of the Navelim Villagers Union trophy in memory of Nelson and Bazeliana Coelho, at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Wednesday.
Monty Valadres opened the score-line for Areal in the 15th minute. Later in the 45th minute, Alvito Moura doubled the lead for Areal.
Presly Gomes made it 1-2 for Navelim in the 50th minute.
As the match progressed, Rohan Pereira levelled terms for Navelim in the 58th minute.
In the tie-breaker, Sao Jose de Areal netted through Aggio Antao, Ignatius Oliveira, Monty Valadares, Fredric Endro and Vishal Fernandes while Clinton Niasso, Aulon Gomes and Mizio Piexito scored for Navelim Villagers Union.
Sao Jose de Areal will meet St Rock YC, Calata-Majorda in the semi-finals on November 8.
